Is the voice of citizens being heard in the sustainability transition? Welcome to discuss current topics in housing and the energy transition and hear the latest research findings at the Climate-Friendly Housing Spring Day.
The sustainability challenge is advancing, particularly in the energy challenge. The current debate on the price of electricity and the need for flexibility in consumption shows that it has not been possible to get citizens on board in all respects. Energy markets are perceived as unstable and not all climate measures enjoy the unqualified support of citizens. The debate will reflect on the impact of the sustainability challenge on citizens' lives and explore solutions to increase inclusiveness in promoting the sustainability challenge.
Recent research on this topic is provided by the Strategic Research Council-funded Decarbon-Home and Flaire research projects and the Academy of Finland-funded The tensions of the energy transition in citizens' daily lives -project.
